Payment Conditions
Please note all Agents require renter to produce a "credit card".
Debit cards are not acceptable at rental counter.
A preauthorisation will be taken on your credit card for your Insurance liability.

Rental Counter Identification
The Renter must produce a valid drivers licence and credit card

Oneway Rentals
Domestic one ways – France Mainland = Euro 55.00 incl vat per rental, for 1-2 day rentals. There is no charge for rentals of 3 or more days - except from Monte Carlo (Euro 180) and Altitude locations: Biarritz, Djion and Tours where one way fees will apply.
International one ways are available on request

Cross Border - Territorial restrictions
Vehicles are not permitted to enter: Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden and Ukraine.
Larger vehicles and AUTOMATIC groups are not permitted to enter Italy. Car vehicles up to SDMR are permitted to enter Italy.

Lost Keys
Agents charge if keys are lost. Note if vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned to rental Agent insurance is deemed void. Please keep an eye on your keys as new cars can now not be stolen with out them. It might be an idea to take rental tag off keys and put in glove box till your return so as not to direct thieves to the exact details of your vehicle.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be emailed or faxed to us. We will not accept cancellations by telephone. They must be received 24 hours in advance of the start of the rental. In the event of cancellation, we will refund all charges except the non-refundable administration fee to the credit /debit card number which was supplied for the booking. (we will not refund to any other card) Should your rental be a NO-SHOW (i.e. you did not collect the vehicle and did not follow our cancellation procedure), no monies will be refunded and the full rental charge will be taken by the Agent.

Vehicle Group / Model
We can only guarantee the class and transmission of a vehicle selected. Makes and Models vary by Rental Agent and country to country. We can not guarantee an exact model. if you have a preference we will gladly let supplier know, but we can not guarantee anything. If the class of vehicle is not available on arrival you will be upgraded to a larger vehicle.

Voucher
You must produce your voucher on arrival at Rental counter.
Failure to give the Rental Agent your voucher, means we can not be held responsible for any additonal charges.
No refunds will be entertained unless Agent received voucher from Renter.
Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle

reservation fee
The payment taken when booking your vehicle online will not be shown on the Car rental Agents Rental agreement

Driver Licence requirements
Full licence is required that has been valid for a minimum of 1year.

Airport - Location fee
High altitude locations:
Please note that 'Altitude locations' incur a collection fee of € 55 (incl VAT.) This fee is paid locally at time of rental.

Insurance
All vehicles have CDW and Theft Insurance automatically included in our rates. Additional Insurances can be viewed against the specific vehicles

VAT - TAX
19.60%, and subject to change.

Out of hours
Various locations offer out of hours collections. Additional charges may apply. You would be notified of any relevant charges prior to rental confirmation.

Administration fee
This covers automated payment security and verification process. It is non-refundable, irrespective of cancellation reason.

Early vehicle returns - Late vehicle pickups
Please note that we are is in no way responsible for the amounts charged by local suppliers when reservations are extended beyond the prebooked date. Charges for additonal rental days are at the discretion of the local supplier. Also there is no refund for early returns. Please be aware that it is not possible to extend a rental through us less than 24 hours before the rental starts.

Flight Information
Please note if you are picking vehicle up from an Airport location, you must supply the correct flight details. Failure to supply correct flight details may lead to nobody waiting at a rental counter to meet you. No refund shall be given in the event incorrect flight details where given. If your flight number changes or you are delayed please contact Rental Agent directly as we can not get Agents to extend their hours. rental Agent details are on your voucher.

Condition of vehicle
Vehicles must be returned in the same condition. Normal wear and tear acceptable. Excessive staining, or intenal damage will be charged for at Rental Agents valet rates.

Additional drivers
All Additional drivers must be physically at rental counter with their own drivers licence at time of rental, to sign Rental Agreement.

Foreign Exchange rates
All rates are only converted and payable in local currency. We are not responsible for fluctuation of currencies.

Young driver age Restrictions
All drivers under the age of 26 must pay an age surcharge of EURO 23 ( + VAT) per day. The max. charge is 230 + vat Euro.

Roadside Assistance
24 hour breakdown cover is included in the rates. Dependant on teh circumstances teh supplier reserves the right not to provide a replacement vehicle.

Additional Extras
All additional extras are on request and payable locally to the agent when the vehicle is collected.

Supplier Rental Conditions
Please note that supplier terms and conditions outlined above are subject to change by suppliers. All information above is correct at the time of booking and when you printed this information. Customer must adhere to supplier conditions at the time of vehicle pick up.

COMPLAINTS
All complaints/problems must be received in writing within 30 days of drop off date. We can not entertain complaints received after this period

Local deposits / Pre-authorisations
A pre-authorisation is required for the excess amount of the vehicle. If a pre-authorisation is not left then the purchase of additional insurances is mandatory to reduce the excess on the vehicle to zero. If the excess is not reduced to zero a pre-authorisation is required for the reduced excess amount.

CarTrawler does not provide any vehicle rental services and does not own or operate any vehicle rental companies. Your contract for vehicle rental will be between you and the rental vehicle provider. The terms and conditions of the rental agreement between you and the rental vehicle provider are available on this website when you select the vehicle type and insert the other relevant information. CarTrawler makes no warranty or representation in relation to any rental vehicle provider or any vehicle rented by any rental vehicle provider. It is the rental vehicle providers sole responsibility to provide you with a rental vehicle rented on this website.
Fees and Charges The Administration Charge which CarTrawler charges is non refundable in all circumstances. It is the responsibility of the rental vehicle provider to process your reservation correctly. The accuracy of any quote for renting a vehicle provided by this website and any booking made on this website depends on the details you provide on this website.
LIABILITY In the event of a dispute between CarTrawler and you, our liability to you, if any, is limited to the amount of the Administration Charge you paid when booking the vehicle.
CarTrawler hereby excludes to the fullest extent permitted by law any warranties (whether express or implied), as to the quality, completeness, performance or fitness for a particular purpose of (i) any vehicle booked using this website and (ii) this website and any of its contents, including, but not limited to, any information relating to vehicle rentals contained within this website and the technology supporting and provided on this website. CarTrawler reserves the right to make alterations to the website at any time. The information on this website is updated from time to time. By using this website you acknowledge that the rental details and all other information including, but not limited to, information relating to travel and holidays published on this website may include inaccuracies or typographical errors.
Any booking you make for vehicle rental on this website is made with a rental vehicle provider and not CarTrawler. CarTrawler and this website only facilitate the making of reservations with the rental vehicle provider. CarTrawler is not a party to the contract between you and the rental vehicle provider and has no responsibility or liability (directly or indirect) to any party in respect of the terms of your contract with the rental vehicle provider or any problems arising with the vehicle rented pursuant to that contract or any other problems between you and the rental vehicle provider. On making a booking for a vehicle rental on this website you are bound by and deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of the relevant rental vehicle provider.

BOOKING CONDITIONS Please read the following conditions which apply to reservations/bookings made by you for vehicle rental through this website. A. Making a Booking On making a booking, you shall pay a non-refundable Administration Charge (usually €4.95) and a booking deposit (usually 15% of the cost of renting the vehicle). You are responsible for paying the balance owing to the rental vehicle provider and for payment of any additional services/costs requested by you and you are responsible for any other service charges applied by said rental vehicle provider. You must use a credit card or debit card to avail of the service provided by this website. Please note that not all rental vehicle providers will accept debit cards. On making a booking with your credit or debit card through this website, you agree that if the booking is cancelled less than 24 hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this website, the monies transacted (booking fee and deposit) will be retained by CarTrawler and will not be refundable. If you need to make any alterations to your booking CarTrawler must receive an email from you at info@cartrawler[.com] clearly informing CarTrawler of the precise details of such alteration. CarTrawler does not guarantee said alterations can be processed; however every effort will be made to meet with a favourable outcome. On making a booking/reservation it is your responsibility to inform the rental vehicle provider if necessary of any physical or mental condition relevant to vehicle rental. In the event of an accident, there may be insurance implications if you fail to inform the rental vehicle provider of the condition. B. Confirmation of Booking When your booking is confirmed, CarTrawler will issue the booking confirmation on behalf of the rental vehicle provider for each booking, but does not undertake to include charges for additional services or details of the service charge or taxes charged by the rental vehicle provider or additional services requested by you at the collection point. CarTrawler recommends that you thoroughly check the details of the booking e.g. country, location and period of rental. If there are any discrepancies, you should immediately send an email to info@cartrawler[.com] clearly informing CarTrawler of the exact details of such discrepancy. CarTrawler advises that you read and comply with the rental vehicle provider’s terms and conditions (which are available on this website but may be changed by the rental vehicle provider from time to time) upon which the rental vehicle provider makes the reserved vehicle available to you upon receipt of the booking confirmation. The reservation numbers included on the booking confirmation should be quoted in all enquiries, cancellation or modification of the booking. C. Cancellations Cancellation of a booking must be made a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this website. If you wish to cancel a booking, the only accepted method is by CarTrawler receiving an email in writing from you to info@cartrawler[.com] clearly instructing CarTrawler to cancel the booking). In the event of a cancellation (notice of which is received by CarTrawler at least twenty-four (24) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this website) all funds except the non-refundable Administration Charge, will be reimbursed. In the event of a cancellation (notice of which is received by CarTrawler less than twenty-four (24) hours before the rental of the vehicle is due to commence pursuant to a booking made on this website) all funds except the non-refundable Administration Charge and the booking deposit, will be reimbursed.
NO LIABILITY IN CREDIT CARD OR DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS CarTrawler endeavours to ensure that all credit card and debit card transactions on this website are secure. HOWEVER, if unauthorised charges appear on your credit card or debit card statement for any card used on this website at any time during or after you make your reservation, conduct your transaction or disclose your card details on this website, CarTrawler shall not be liable or responsible in any way in respect of any damage or loss of whatsoever nature suffered by you arising from or in any way connected with said use, transaction or disclosure, subject only to any statutory rights which you may have.
